Holocaust Museum of LA Flooded with Antisemitic Messages After Offering Kanye West a Private Tour
The Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles said it has been flooded with antisemitic messages after artist Kanye West rejected their offer of a private tour.
After musician Kanye West declined their offer of a private tour, the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles said that it had been inundated with antisemitic letters.
Following a string of antisemitic comments made by West, who legally changed his name to Ye, there has been an increase in nasty mail. Despite his remarks, Beth Kean, CEO of the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles, and the institution offered to give West a private tour in the hopes that it would persuade him to reconsider his mind.
Education is the biggest change-catalyst, we know that for sure, added Kean. “If students and tourists enter the museum as spectators, they should expect to depart as upstanders. We are aware of that.
Ye reportedly said Planned Parenthood was his Holocaust memorial on the “Drink Champs Podcast” when he declined the invitation.
He was publicly turned down by our invitation to visit the museum, Kean claimed.
Kean claimed that the museum has received a deluge of vile antisemitic comments on its social media platforms since extending the offer.
According to Kean, there are more than twice as many Jews in the world than there are Twitter followers for Kanye. “People like Kanye have a great platform; he has over 30 million followers on Twitter. He needs to understand that he needs to use his words to inspire rather than agitate and to avoid spreading hate, lies, and antisemitism.”
According to experts, the artist’s acts have emboldened antisemitic activity, including a prank on the 405 freeway. On Saturday, a group of people displayed Nazi salutes and a sign that read, “Kanye was right about the Jews.”
The fact that this is taking place in our neighborhood infuriates me, added Kean.
A non-profit security squad called Magen Am claimed to have expanded patrols in the largely Jewish communities of the Fairfax District. The team of more than 50 veterans and volunteers offers armed reaction to risky circumstances and safety training.
President and CEO Rabbi Yossi Eilfort stated, “We’re doing everything we can to demonstrate that we’re not afraid. “Our community is powerful, and we won’t behave like victims.
Because of his antisemitic remarks, West received criticism from the public and was dropped by his talent agency, Creative Artists Agency.
